SHOP WITH A COP "2010"

"Shop with a Cop" program was held on Saturday December 11th from 8 AM-2 PM. Cpl. Nadette Russo and Ptl. Eric Hendershott accompanied six children to the event.  All participating officers from the George Murray Lodge # 67 met at the Independence High School.  From that location, approximately 175 police vehicles traveled "parade style" to the Walmart in Bedford where each child had the opportunity to go on a $120.00 shopping spree.  Once at the store, all children enjoyed cookies, donuts, juice and the opportunity to meet "Santa".  After 2 1/2 hours of fun filled shoping, all parties again traveled parade style to the Garfield Hts. Civic Center where everyone enjoyed a pizza lunch and several raffles.  All of the children and officers involved had a wonderful time together and it was a rewarding experience for all involved.

A total of $700.00 was raised fro the event.

HOLIDAY RUBBISH COLLECTION

                            The following Hollidays fall on rubbish pick up days.  Therefore the pick up day will be as follows:

                                       Labor Day Monday September 5th                                                September 6th
