Community Events Glenwillow Village Center Glenwillow Village Center serves as a central gathering place for residents and community life. The re-development over the last two years, will ensure the preservation of the Village's heritage, as well as establish the Village's distinctive identity. The Village Center is a significant project for the Village as we are able to create a mix of renovated century homes with new residential homes, professional offices, businesses, retail shops and restaurants. In addition, the Historic Village Center, when completed, it will include a community park, an amphitheater, recreational trails, and commercial enterprises. Historic homes along Austin Powder Drive and Pettibone Road have been fully renovated and updated into modern homes. The exteriors on the homes on Austin Powder Drive have been renovated to match their historic architectural characters. The homes on Pettibone Road have been renovated and expanded for use as quaint retail shops. The old "company" or general store has been expanded during the renovation to become a tavern and casual restaurant with an outdoor dining area. Careful attention has been taken to ensure similar architectural elements to those of the shops with multi-paned windows and an expansive front porch. The homes on Austin Powder Drive include six renovated and expanded historic homes that have been converted into business and professional offices designed to meet the needs of today's small business and professional service providers. The new residential subdivision, known as Glenwillow Place, is an attractive, neo-traditional village neighborhood, with 50 new Western Reserve-style single-family homes. Each classically designed home will be complemented with a beautifully wooded backdrop, a view overlooking scenic Tinker's Creek, or a site adjacent to community recreation field.
