Police Department
The Glenwillow Police Department has 15 full and part time officers and maintains police service 24 hours per day. The Department is led by Chief Robert F. Hagquist.

The Police Department provides vacation security checks and regular welfare checks on the elderly and disabled residents. A Children's Safety Fair is held every summer with games, entertainment, food and prizes provided to the children in attendance. Children's safety issues are addressed at a fun and entertaining event. Call the Department for information on any of these programs at 440-232-8787.

The Police Department is also a member of the Valley Enforcement Group, a consortium of Chragrin Valley Police Departments that gives the Department access to training equipment and special services.

Fire Department
The Village contracts with its municipal neighbor to the East the City of Solon for fire and emergency service. The City of Solon provides services to our community along with its 30,000 residents. The City of Solon has provided the village with such service for over ten years. Solon has three Fire Stations. Most calls from Glenwillow are responded to from Station #3 located nearby at 7401 S.O.M. Center Road. The City of Solon has rescue squads and fire equipment at each station. There is also a hazardous materials unit at Station #1. Through our service contract, the Solon Fire Department also conducts the Village's fire inspections for both residents and businesses.

Service Department
In winter months, the Service Department maintains all Village streets for ice and snow removal. In the other months, they maintain the Village property including grounds and buildings. Currently, the Village has 5 full-time employees in the Service Department and utilizes part-time employees to handle additional work. The Village has a full compliment of trucks, tractors, and other equipment to accomplish their duties.

The Street Commissioner is Robert Zahuranec, who has over 30 years of service with the Village and the Service Director is Daryl Schultz .

Building Department
The Building Department regulates both residential and commercial building in the Village. It is fully certified by the state of Ohio and handles all building issues, from the first design approvals through the permit phase and into the final inspections. The staff of the Building Department manage all activities of the Planning Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals. They issue permits, handle all requests for inspections and maintain files on all buildings within the Village.

Law Department
The Law Department consists of the Law Director, John D. Brown. Mr. Brown is the chief legal officer for the Village. He has 32 years of experience with the Village.

The Prosecutor for the Village is Robert Owen, who prosecutors for both the Village of Glenwillow Mayor's Court and Bedford Municipal Court.

Finance
The Finance Department handles all fiscal matters of the Village. The department is under the direction of the Clerk-Treasurer, which is an elected position with a two-year term.

Mr. Mark Cegelka was elected Clerk-Treasurer in November 2007 and is completing an unexpired term through December 2009.

Engineering
The Village contracts with Elewski & Associates, of Independence Ohio for engineering services within the Village. Mr. Jeff Skoczen is the engineer working with the Village.

Economic Development
The Village is very interested in developing economic development opportunities. Mayor Payne and his staff are happy to meet with anyone interested in pursuing locating within the Village.

The Village also offers many Economic Development Programs such as Enterprise Zone Community Reinvestment Areas, and Foreign Trade Zones, as tools as incentives to businesses and commercial enterprises.

Project Coordinator
The Project Engineer on staff in the Village is Milt Gozelanczyk, who coordinates all of the Village engineer services, design and inspections.

The Village's Grant Coordinator is Peggy Spraggins, who assists the Village in applying for various grants and other funding opportunities, which bring additional services, and funds to the Village.
